coffee deposits siting maps in cups [istanbul~amsterdam]

a hybrid-locative media project - 1st phase

Coffee Deposits: Siting Maps in Cups is a multi-sensory mobile locative media project (Istanbul>Amsterdam) engaging the visual, gustatory, auditory and the olfactory senses for visionary exchange. Weaving a combination of GPS, Geo-Caching, and blue-tooth technologies, together with one-on-one encounters on sidewalks, balconies and city streets-- artists and passersby will construct a collaborative urban map using Turkish/Armenian coffee (et al) as its main/false protagonist.
